Catch up..travel and having my family visit
Well here I am again Finally.. Got to catch up on my blog.
We got to Hideout Golf and Rv resort about 2ish. Wasn't easy to get to. I couldn't put the address in the GPS and we had no phone service so we had to resort to olden times and stop and ask for directions. Of course there was like three people giving me three different directions....I hate that.. I relied on the young man that had a map on his phone...Smart move on my part...finally found the place and there was another rv going in to check in..the girl was an idiot ..never took our names or checked us in. She gave me directions(not good ones) to the campground which was down the road but we couldn't go anywhere til the guy in front of us left so we made the mistake of following him. Well he went the wrong way so we had to turn around not easy to do with a camper but he was alot longer than we were so fortunetly found a good turnaround. Finally got there. Beautiful Place. Its a brand new campground and golf course which is why she didn't have a clue about checking us in. No service for verizon at all in the whole county. Had to go to walmart just to at least let my kids know all was good. The weather was great for the two days we were there 80s and sunny really enjoyed sitting in the sun for a change.. There was nice grill/smoker at each campsite so Bill decided to buy charcoal and grill some steaks. Not being used to cooking like that it took a lot longer than with propane..but it was delicious. We bought Apple charcoal and could smell it throughout the campground.
Left on Saturday morning for Waters Edge near Houston...so glad to have service again.. Nice campground a little old but they are fixing it up and adding more campsite and cabins...
It was a bit longer drive than we like but I picked this place for the pool and waterslides for the kids. HA HA..weather is not suppose to be good this week...oh well we will find things to do. Just realaxed Saturday when we arrived took a drive around to check things out. Had Chinese Buffet(not he best) for dinner and then just chilled for the night.
Sunday did laundry in the morning and waited for my family to arrive. YAY!!! they got here about 2. It is great to have them here..I miss everyone when we are gone. got them settled and took the boys for a walk around. They played at the playground for a bit and we took a walk to the lake. It was kinda chilly with the wind but the sun was out. Had Pizza Hut for dinner and took Jaxx and Austin back to the playground for a bit. Billy joined us and we checked out the clubhouse. Nice. The boys played a little ping pong but we couldn't stay long cause they were having Bible Study at 6:30.. thats ok every one was a bit tired after their 12 hr drive. Stayed at the camper the rest of the night and played Skip-Bo. Anna's favorite game.

Nice that they got there at waters edge and your family has arrived as well. Say Hi to them for us. and have too much fun. We enjoyed the Pizza Shack there so very tasty food. Hope it warms us for you
