Travel Day

Well Friday was basically a nothing day. We fixed a few things on the camper. Its amazing how bad this camper is. A nice letter is going to Forest River. Everytime I find something else I get angrier. I think its stuff that should never happen and stuff that hasn't been right since day one.
Anyway traveled to North Carolina today after a nice breakfast at Dino's again.

It was a nice sunny day but Chilly. Only in the 50s. Was suppose to be only a 2 1/2 hr drive but again the GPS is stupid. Told us at one point to make a left in the middle of a bridge cause the hwy we were suppose to get on was there. Stupid!!!!!. Then wanted us to go down a Closed Road. Stupid!!!! No detour sign at that Rd. either. Stupid!!!! So take our chances it will reroute us. LOL. Finally found the detour sign.  Took us down some very skinny rds. Not Fun. Doesn't bother Bill tho. I hate it. You never know.
Finally Got to Sycamore Lodge and they don't have our Reservation. Don't have the Moyers either. We both pull up our confirmation emails and all is good Thank god. Campground is pretty full for The St. Patty's Day weekend. It their kickoff weekend to the camping season. Lots going on.


Tractor ride and a parade of golf carts(missed the pic). all decked out in green. Probably 20 carts. It was really neat. Pot Luck dinner in the clubhouse and a concert after. Not a fan of country music so we passed on that. Not that it mattered it was outside and we could hear it anyway like it was right next to us.
Finally got settled on our site. Time to relax. We can actually have a bonfire here. Diane is ready for a fire and sitting outside. I'm am not in the mood to sit outside. I guess i was pretty crabby all day. LOL
So we all decided to of course play Mexican Train. I needed something anyway to keep me awake til 10.  I won. I guess i have won most of the last 10 games we have played. Tomorrow is bonfire night.
That was our wonderful day.

    Always something to fix in an RV, especially new ones, nice once you get all the bugs out. Not a fan of a GPS , always like to check google maps usually much better luck there. Enjoy your time there.

Last Blog 😢

Our trip has finally come to an end. Tuesday is travel day to home. Saturday was the last Day with Diane and Larry. Went into Gettysburg to have a look around.Nice sunny day but a little chilly. Diane and I checked out he little shops of course. After a bit the guys went to sit at the bar while we shopped.  Abe Lincoln is everywhere. Great little town with tons of history if your into that. Had a late lunch at he bar with the guys. Not really hungry but I had a Ceasar Salad anyway. Ruebans for the guys and a greek salad for Diane. WEnt back to the camper to relax for a bit and then our last fire.(sorry forgot to take a picture) Wow a night without Mexican Train. Went in about 9. They have things to do to get ready for the long ride home in the morning. I was in bed by 10. Sunday was just a relaxing day. Diane and Larry left about 7:45 proming to text when they got home. Rainy Morning Oulet Mall

Well Friday started out rainy but turned into a nice afternoon. After breakfast we went to the campground store. This is another really nice campground. We enjoy it here every year. Really nice clubhouse. Three different sitting rooms with Tvs. Lot of books to trade and read. Play areas and a craft area for the kids. Pool is huge. Not open yet but we enjoyed it when Billy Anna and the kid were with us a couple of years ago. Diane and I decide it was a good day to leave the hubbies behind and go shopping. We've been wanting to do this for a while. Had a great time. Spent some money. LOL All on the grandkids of course and nothing for ourselves. Had lunch at subway. All in all it was a good shopping day. Back to the camper to rest for a bit and have dinner. Decided against a fire again tonight so played some Mexican Train. Diane can't get enough of it and they're leaving on Sunday so this might be the last game for awhile. I won one game and Larry won the ot
